Professor at Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">His book \u00abEducaci\u00f3n Tipogr\u00e1fica, una introducci\u00f3n a la tipograf\u00eda\u00bb, was published in Chile in 2004 and in Argentina in 2005.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">His typeface \u00abAustralis\u00bb won the Gold Prize at Morisawa Awards 2002, in Japan. \u00abelemental\u00bb won the Altazor Prize in 2002, and \u00abAmster Pro\u00bb was awarded with two \u00abConstancia de Excelencia\u00bb recognitions in Tipos Latinos Biennale in 2008 and 2014.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">He has designed typefaces for several projects, such as \u00abLa Discusi\u00f3n\u00bb newspaper, from Chill\u00e1n, Chile, in 2008. Together with Rodrigo Ram\u00edrez, he designed fonts for \u00abLa Cuarta\u00bb newspaper in 2009, for Santiago&#8217;s Public Transport in 2003-2015, and for Chile&#8217;s highway system \u00abRutaCL\u00bb in 2012.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">He is a partner in Frescotype and AGR, studios specializing in typeface, editorial, branding and information design. Among his most relevant work are logotypes for &#8216;Paula&#8217; magazine, &#8216;Emiliana&#8217; and &#8216;Concha y Toro&#8217; vineyards, and the art direction for &#8216;Rita&#8217; trattoria and &#8216;Puerto Bellavista&#8217; restaurant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BA in Graphic Designer from IPEVE, Universidad Diego Portales, Chile, and self-taught typeface designer.
